40th Anniversary of Moon Landing
By Shariq Mohammed

Space was always a frontier for people, but as technology grew, it showed a new path into space. Many children had dreamed of visiting space in the 1940’s, but what they didn’t know is that they might take part in one of the greatest endeavors mankind has ever attempted; to put a man on the moon.
Now on July 20, 2009, we stand here celebrating one of the greatest anniversaries in aerospace history; the 40thanniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. It was the first time a human being has stepped on another body mass. Now on the 40th anniversary, NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has pledged something that we were dreaming of for years, to go back to the moon.
In 2020, Kennedy Space Center, A massive rocket will stand most likely the size of a football field in length, and will be able to take people to the moon after 50 years of Apollo 11. This time the journey will have a new meaning, to make a base.
A moon base will be a very nice refueling station, and can learn more about our planet’s history and formation.
Exploration, and curiosity has always been one of most important feelings and they have led us to countless wonders and will lead us to more.
